Through my paternal whakapapa I am Waitaha, Ngāti Mamoe, Ngāi Tahu, Te Whānau-ā-Apanui, Ngāti Porou me Ngāti Whatua ō Kaipara.
Through my maternal whakapapa I am Ngāti Rangi ō Ruapehu, Te Ātihaunui-a-Pāpārangi, Ngā Rauru Kītahi, Ngāti Tuwharetoa ki Taupō, Ngāti Raukawa ki te Tonga me Ngāpuhi.
My husband is Ngāi Tahu aswell, and we are parents to six children.
I hope you enjoy the ‘oriori’ I composed for four of our children. I find great satisfaction in the process of writing these. I experience greater satisfaction when I can share this tāonga to empower Māori.
I runga i te rongomau.

Kupu:
I tae mai tāku tama pūrotu e. E tu rangatira, tāku tama e. Ko te tangata hoki e haere tahi ana me Hehu, he rangatira ano ia. Tū Tangata 2× Tū Tangata Elohim!
Whakamārama / Explanation:
I stood to birth you. You arrived in this world when I exhaled my last delivery breath to release you. Tears of joy flooded my soul. My son, my son has finally arrived.
The Lifegiver came into this world through a mother. My heart is full of joy. My beautiful son has finally come. Stand chiefly precious one, my dear son. He who walks in the presence of Jesus, is wise, he is chiefly. Stand Tall, stand proud 2× Stand Elohim!
