I am enjoying the flexibility that the midwifery profession has to offer by providing locum midwifery cover across Te Waipounamu.

I have a background in lead maternity care in both a remote rural and urban settings. I also work as a core midwife at Christchurch Women’s Hospital.

I am passionate about supporting a sustainable midwifery profession with a robust Māori workforce to ensure whānau have access to Māori midwives.

I am the current co-tumuaki of Māori midwives ki tahu and seek to represent Te Waipounamu on the Ngā Maia board of trustees. Studying for my Master’s degree in Māori and Indigenous Leadership at UC is like fuel to the fire that burns in my belly. My husband and my three tamāhine sustain that fire.
